Our technology breaks down PET and Polyester back into their original monomers, Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) and Mono-Ethylene Glycol (MEG). The recycled monomers are virgin-grade quality, identical to oil-based counterparts. Our PTA and MEG offset the need for new oil extraction to produce plastics and chemicals.

Clean technology for circularity

Our proprietary and patented reaction occurs at room temperature without additional pressure. We can treat unsorted post-consumer and post-industrial waste streams that are not washed or pre-processed.
This is done using safe and commercially available household chemicals!

Creating value

Circularity is at the heart of what we do. We work closely with companies to provide a solution for their complex waste. Our process turns this waste into quality raw materials, rendering circular applications of PET possible.

Challenge

Today, only easy-to-recycle plastic items such as clear PET bottles are recycled accounting for less than 10% of all post consumer plastic waste. The remainder including PET packaging and polyester textiles are incinerated or landfilled, resulting in pollution and the loss of raw material.

Solution

DePoly's enhanced recycling process can treat difficult-to-recycle plastics, including multi-layer packaging and colored textiles. Our technology enables circularity of polyester and PET plastics by producing raw monomers (PTA and MEG), which are the building blocks of all PET.

Products

Our Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) and Mono-Ethylene Glycol (MEG) are developed as a drop-in solution for PET production. DePoly's PTA and MEG can substitute the fossil fuel incumbents for our customers, reducing the environmental impacts of our customers' applications.
