DePoly’s End-of-Year Team Outing: A Day on the Slopes

This year, we took the festivities to the stunning slopes of Verbier, in the Swiss Alps—a perfect setting for reflection, camaraderie, and a little adventure.

For the early risers and skiing enthusiasts among us, the day started on the crisp, freshly groomed pistes at 9 AM sharp. It was all about carving down the first runs of the season and soaking up the thrill of the mountains. Meanwhile, others opted for a more leisurely morning: some explored the charming village boutiques, while another group ventured out for a tranquil walk through snow-covered forests.

By lunchtime, everyone regrouped at Le Mouton Noir, a picturesque restaurant perched on the slopes, where we indulged in a hearty meal with sweeping views of the valley. This was a moment to unwind, share laughs, and celebrate the bonds that make the DePoly team so strong—whether we’re in the office, lab, or plants.

As the afternoon light began to fade (an early 4:45 PM sunset in December!), a few dedicated skiers couldn’t resist squeezing a few last runs. With the slopes nearly empty and the mountains bathed in hues of pink and orange, it felt like we had Verbier all to ourselves—a truly magical way to end the day.

We wrapped up with smiles, tired legs, and a renewed sense of energy for what lies ahead in 2025. We may have discovered a few hidden skiing talents on the team, too—so here’s to more weekend sessions in the mountains this season! 🎿
